Six to Ten Project

The Six To Ten Project is a pilot partnership project between DrugFAM, Ara Recovery For All and The Beacon Counselling Trust. It is dedicated to supporting those affected by disordered gambling to rebuild their lives.

Meet our Partners

Ara has provided structured treatment, counselling, housing support, education, training and employment guidance for more than 30 years.

In 2020/21, Ara supported more than 6,000 people for the first time in its’ history, and by 2023 aim to be working with 50% more beneficiaries.

Ara have been supporting problem gamblers and affected others across the South West for many years, and in 2019 became the National Gambling Treatment Service (NGTS) provider for Wales.

Beacon Counselling Trust (BCT) is a North West wide award-winning counselling charity. BCT employs fully qualified counsellors who have extensive experience working with those presenting mild to moderate mental health issues.

BCT aim to make life better for individuals and families who access services because they believe passionately that people can change their behaviour and their lives.

Through professionally delivered structured support and experience BCT aims to help clients embrace a different way of living even after the most catastrophic of life changing events.


How the Six to Ten project can help you

Once assigned with a project worker, you will be offered regular sessions over the course of up to 12 weeks to help improve your quality of life.

All clients will also be entitled to free and confidential counselling through the National Gambling Treatment Service.

Through one-to-one care and a personal support plan, clients will receive onward referrals and where appropriate, liaison with other professionals who will form a crucial part of your holistic support package.
